Donkay farm stay is the place to go for some R&R. No traffic noise, no sirens or alarms, no trains, just peace and quiet. This is a beautiful house to stay in for a couple, family or group with plenty of space inside and outside. We found it very easy to find, following Margarita's directions. We enjoyed the markets at the nearby Calliope River Historical Village and the Calliope River is begging us to come back for some swimming and/or fishing. Margarita is a very down to earth host who keeps the house impeccably clean and comfortably furnished. Although we took food and drinks with us, we forgot to take milk. Thanks to Margarita's foresight, milk was already in the fridge along with other thoughtful items in the pantry as well as the fridge.

My family and I had a fantastic one night stay at Margarita's beautiful farm house! The pictures do definitely not do justice to the actual size of nice spaces in the house. It is modern, spacious and clean, the beds are very comfy, the kitchen super well equipped (probably best one I've ever had), there was breakfast provided, and the best part was feeding the donkeys in the morning and getting Margarita's insights on the subjects. She is a lovely and welcoming host! I left behind a personal item by mistake and she offered to post it to my home. Thanks a lot Margarita!It was wonderful to meet you and your awesome donkeys!:

Absolute gem of a place. Margarita was extremely helpful and the place was spotless. Feeding the donkeys in the morning was a very nice touch! We'll surely be back :)

A beautifully decorated and well-equipped cottage in an idyllic setting. The friendly hosts ensured we had a pleasant stay. And the delivery of eggs fresh from the nearby hens, milk, bread and juice was a delightful surprise! The donkeys are an added delight, and feeding them with the carrots found pre-chopped in the fridge was a special treat. The beds were super comfy..and hard to leave in the morning. A great, easy to find stopover between Brisbane and northern Queensland. We will return for a longer stay. Definitely recommended.

If you are looking for a place where you can sit back and relax and take in the surroundings without the hussle and bussle of city lights and traffic then this is a perfect spot. The house was clean and tidy, aircon was on when we arrived and the 4 queen bedrooms were all beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble. The wake up call from the donkeys in the morning was sensational!!

Beautiful woman, beautiful home and surrounds... Great bed, sooooo comfy and all the extras, wow....the choccy was yummy too.....The donkeys were a hoot..friendly, cheeky and lovable... Hope to see u again.....
